We are looking for a motivated Product Owner / Business Analyst to join our Analytics Team with a strong focus on Compliance. This role involves maintaining and evolving our in-house post-trade compliance system, while also leading the development of a pre-trade compliance solution. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Post-Trade System Maintenance:
Oversee and maintain the in-house post-trade compliance system, ensuring it is up to date with current regulations and pricing models.
Conduct scenario testing to ensure the system is functioning optimally and in line with regulatory requirements.
Pre-Trade Development:
Lead the design and development of a new pre-trade compliance solution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory frameworks.
Identify opportunities to enhance compliance rules and functionality, ensuring seamless integration into trading workflows.
Scenario Testing & Rule Updates:
Perform detailed scenario testing to ensure compliance rules and system functionalities are correctly implemented and operational.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to integrate new regulations and ensure rules are always current and accurate.
Product Ownership & Roadmap Development:
Define the product vision for both post-trade maintenance and pre-trade system development, ensuring scalability, performance, and long-term growth.
Work with stakeholders to prioritise features, system updates, and enhancements based on business and regulatory requirements.
Business & Technical Liaison:
Act as the bridge between the investment, compliance, and technology teams, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, compliance officers, developers, and data scientists to ensure systems support broader business goals.
Partner with key stakeholders to introduce new features, data sets, and functionality in line with evolving industry standards.
Growth & Maturity of the Compliance System:
Lead efforts to mature the compliance system, both pre- and post-trade, positioning it as a critical component of the investment process.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices to drive continuous improvement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the financial or investment sector with a focus on compliance.
Experience in managing post-trade systems and developing pre-trade compliance functionalities.
Proven track record of working with compliance frameworks, including scenario testing and system rule management.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, pricing models, and rule-based systems within the investment industry.
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and work across both business and technical teams.
Experience with scenario testing, managing datasets, and working with in-house or custom-built compliance systems.
Experience with quantitative analytics and coding (e.g. python) is a bonus
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
University Post Graduate Degree (Computer Science/Information Systems/Maths/Stats/Business Science/Actuarial)
Familiarity with database systems, data structures, and compliance system architecture.
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is essential.
Experience with system testing, rule management, and software development processes in a compliance context.
