Prescient Structured Product Advisory is the appointed Authorised Participant of the Prescient ETF platform. This service can be extended to all ETF issuers with listings on the JSE.
The Authorised Participant is appointed by the ETF issuer to efficiently facilitate the creation and redemption process of the ETF securities and to ensure that the issued or redeemed ETFs are aligned with the underlying assets of the ETF scheme. The creations and redemptions of ETFs in the primary market is a dynamic process that involves the Issuer, Regulator, and Central Scrip Depositary. Our team of multi-skilled professionals has many years of ETF structuring and administration experience to ensure the seamless implementation thereof.
Ben is the Managing Director of Prescient Structured Products Advisory and is responsible for advising clients and bringing products to list on the JSE and also oversee the team that facilitate efficient creation and redemptions for ETF issuers. His team specialises in providing regulatory advice, consulting services, and support to issuers of Specialist Securities listed on the JSE. His leadership continues to drive Prescient's reputation as a reliable and expert partner in navigating the intricacies and dynamic world of structured products.
His contributions to the industry expanded beyond individual firms as he provided valuable consultancy services to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the JSE. His insights were sought on regulatory matters related to Exchange Traded Products (ETPs), showcasing his in-depth knowledge and understanding of the evolving financial landscape.
Hayden joined Prescient Fund Services in 2014, where he was responsible for the alternative fund administration business. He set up the hedge fund administration offering, expanded the offering to include regulated CIS hedge funds, and in 2016, he launched private equity administration – expanding Prescient’s alternative fund administration catalogue further. At the end of 2019, Hayden moved on to launch the Business Development and Product Solutions teams, and standardised Prescient's approach to ongoing Client Relationship Management.
Currently the Head of Business Development and Client Management at Prescient Fund Services, he continues to service these three aspects of the Fund Services business with a strong focus on Business Development and Marketing.
