Money Market Portfolio Manager (Prescient Investment Management)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Interest Bearing Portfolio Management

• The key objective is to manage the money market and enhanced cash mandates to deliver on its performance objectives.
• Set and oversee money market/enhanced cash model portfolios and assist where needed on income models.
• Manage and oversee cashflow implementation/money market dealing across entire portfolio range.
• Drive and give input to cash and income portfolio strategy and the generation of model portfolios, including:
  • Asset allocation decisions.
  • Generate and motivate duration positions.
  • Manage yield enhancement strategies.
  • Manage credit utilisation across mandates.
  • Manage risk through use of derivatives.

Interest Bearing Research

• The key objective is to advance research efforts and improve overall quality and coverage utilizing the skill set of the team.
• Define cash research/alpha framework.
• Expand strategies and market coverage.
• Drive new yield enhancement research.
• Derivatives research and strategy ideas.

Back-up Portfolio Management Implementation

• Act as back-up on income fund portfolio management.

Team interaction and collaboration 

• The key objective to is work and lead on a collaborative basis, ensuring that the team remains cohesive and successful.
• Always operate within the Prescient value system (internally and externally).
• Deal with people as partners, with respect, an open mind and fairness. Ensure you contribute positively and be solution driven.
• Mentor younger team members and cement the Prescient value system.
• Suggest and implement process and systems enhancement.
• Collaborate and give input the broader investment team, including asset allocation input and general strategy.

Client and stakeholder Interaction and Marketing

• The key objective is to represent the firm proactively and positively in all interactions.
• Grow and assist in maintaining AUM.
• Represent firm in all required client interaction.
• Ensure internal sales and marketing feedback is optimal.
• PR (written, radio and TV).
• Oversee required report commentary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant post graduate Financial / Investments qualification.
• CFA / studies preferred.
