DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Authorise all instructions received   – 4Axis/FNB/Finswitch.
  • Have a sound knowledge of life and retirement rules and processes This includes new business / additional investments /death claims/ Divorce orders/ emigrations/ withdrawals/ section 14 transfers in and out/ retirements / TFSA transfers in and out / LA transfers in and out / Cessions.
  • Validating all documentation received in order to competently authorise.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks – auditor requirements ; projects; out of the ordinary requests and queries.
  • Monitoring the team’s workflow queues to assist in gauging capacity.
  • Completing required checklist per task /instruction when authorising.
  • Ensure that all documents pertaining to all instructions are saved to 4Axis.
  • Monthly EMP501 submission and payment.
  • Assist with the quarterly compilation of relevant product data for the trustee report.
  • Distributions – external funds.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant experience of at least 1-2 years a related role where you have dealt with all processes relating to Life and Retirement funds administration.
  • Sound foundational understanding and exposure to the various applicable legislation including but not limited to:
    • Preservation pension and provident
    • Retirement annuities  
    • Living annuities ; TFSA’s and Endowments/ Sinking Funds
    • FICA 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred. Matric as a minimum.
  • EXCEL – Intermediate.
  • Exposure to investment systems and workflow tools preferred.
